Product Origin:
Our chrome ore mainly comes from South Africa, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan and Turkey.
What is Chrome?
Chrome is a chemical element which has the symbol Cr and atomic number 24. It is a steely-gray, lustrous, hard metal that takes a high polish and has a high melting point. It is also odourless, tasteless, and malleable due to its high corrosion resistance and hardness. A major development was the discovery that steel could be made highly resistant to corrosion and discoloration by adding chromium and nickel to form stainless steel.
This application and electroplating are currently the highest-volume uses of the metal.
Industrial Application:
Metallurgy
The strengthening effect on steel by forming stable carbide grains at the grain boundaries and the strong increase in corrosion resistance made chromium an important alloying material for steel.
Refractory material
The high heat resistivity and high melting point makes chromate and chromium(III) oxide a material for high temperature refractory applications.
Dye and pigment
Tanning: it is used in the tanning of leather. The chromium(III) stabilizes the leather by cross linking the collagen fibers within the leather.
Product Origin:
Our nickel ore mainly comes from Indonesia.
What is Nickel?
Nickel is a solid catalyst composed of fine grains of a nickel-aluminum alloy, used in many industrial processes as an alternative catalyst for the hydrogenation of vegetable oils in industrial processes.
It is also used in a large number of industrial processes and in organic synthesis because of its stability and high catalytic activity at room temperature
Industrial Application:
A practical example of the use of Raney nickel in industry is shown in the following reaction, where benzene is reduced to cyclohexane. Reduction of the benzene ring is very hard to achieve through other chemical means, but can be effected by using Raney nickel. Other heterogeneous catalysts, such as those using platinum group elements, may be used instead to similar effect, but these tend to be more expensive to produce than Raney nickel. After this reaction cyclohexane may be used in the synthesis of adipic acid, a raw material used in the industrial production of polyamides such as nylon.
To reduce alkylation of amines[15] and the amination of alcohols.
Nickel is also used in the process of Desulfurization.
Product Origin:
Our petroleum coke mainly imports from Indonesia.
What is Petroleum Coke?
Petroleum coke (often abbreviated petcoke) is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil refinery coker units or other cracking processes.
Industrial Application:
Approximately around 62%, the global refinery coke output was mainly used with and calcined the air burn with the cement profession (mainly to use in electrode.
In China, the refinery coke is mainly used in the aluminum industry, power generation and steel industry.
